About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Quality Equipment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety inspections at our locations to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement effective safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to address any issues identified during inspections and ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly safety meetings and training sessions for employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, training certifications, and safety meeting minutes.
  • Work with the insurance carrier's Risk Consultant to identify and mitigate potential hazards and reduce fines.
  • Conduct annual OSHA training and other required training sessions for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with customer site-specific training requirements and display proper safety and labor law posters at each location.
  • Oversee the purchase of necessary safety supplies, first aid kits, and safety-related materials.
  • Manage claims and investigations in conjunction with HR and provide documentation as requested by the insurance company.
Requirements
  • Basic understanding of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
  • Basic computer skills and internet usage, including Microsoft Office.
  • Valid certification and knowledge of forklift operation training.
  • Ability to travel regularly and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
