About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Quality Equipment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety inspections at our locations to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, including OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to address any safety concerns or issues identified during inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, training certifications, and safety meeting minutes.
  • Work with our insurance carriers to reduce potential hazards and fines.
  • Conduct annual OSHA training for employees, including Hazcom and Blood Borne Pathogens.
  • Ensure compliance with customer site-specific training requirements.
  • Oversee the purchase of necessary safety supplies and equipment.
  • Manage claims and investigations in conjunction with HR.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental health and safety or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
  • Valid certification and knowledge of forklift operation training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
