Job Description

The Philharmonic-Symphony Society of New York Inc seeks a highly skilled Prospect Research Associate to join its Development team. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting tactical research and managing reactive and special events research to support the organization's fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on current and prospective donors, including producing research documents for special events, galas, and board committee meetings.
  • Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between the Special Events team and the Research team, and between the Major Gifts team and the Research team regarding events needs and deliverables.
  • Database Management: Maintain Tessitura database records and monitor data hygiene of prospect management.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with fundraisers to foster strong working relationships with the Development team.
  • Event Support: Participate in Patron Lounge duty during the concert season to assist with guest tracking and ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Administrative Support: Process department invoices as needed and keep departmental calendars.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Organizational and Analytical Skills: Ability to produce high-quality research documents and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM databases (preferably Tessitura, Raiser's Edge, or Salesforce).
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve team goals.
