POSITION TITLE:
Logistics Transport Operator

DEPARTMENT:
Shipping and Receiving

REPORTS TO:
Logistics Manager

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Logistics Transport Operator is responsible for managing the flow of raw materials and finished goods within the facility. This role involves loading outgoing shipments and receiving incoming inventory. The operator will also transport products between various storage locations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct physical inventory checks and update the inventory management system to ensure accurate stock levels.
2. Operate trucks to facilitate the movement of goods between warehouses.
3. Efficiently load and unload finished products and packaging materials.
4. Receive incoming raw materials and perform quality checks as per established protocols.
5. Transfer bulk raw materials from railcars to storage silos.
6. Adhere to handling and storage quality operating procedures.
7. Maintain proper storage and documentation of regrind materials.
8. Provide assistance to the Production Department as necessary.
9. Fulfill additional duties as assigned in compliance with the Quality Management System.
10. Follow all safety policies and procedures in the workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required, with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
2. Valid CDL driver's license.
3. Knowledge of safety regulations, particularly regarding hazardous materials.
4. Proficient computer skills.
5. Current certification for operating fork trucks.

Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift, push, and pull weights up to 50 lbs.
2. Capability to work in high-temperature environments during summer months.
