Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Director to lead our newly established culinary operations division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive culinary strategy that aligns with our company's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Strategy and Menu Development:
    • Develop a culinary vision and strategy that reflects our company's brand and target market.
    • Create menus that cater to diverse guest preferences, dietary requirements, and event types.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Culinary Operations Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, production, and execution for catering events.
    • Hire and train culinary staff, ensuring they receive proper training, coaching, and development opportunities.
    • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency in culinary operations.
    • Manage costs and maintain a positive profit and loss statement for the culinary department.
  • Culinary Team Leadership:
    • Lead, inspire, and motivate the culinary team to achieve exceptional results.
    • Nurture talent within the team, identifying potential and promoting professional growth.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Culinary Excellence and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
    • Monitor the food production process, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, culinary techniques, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to our company's core values.
  • Proven track record of success in the restaurant or hospitality industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • DC Food Handler's certification required prior to start of employment.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $75,000 per year.
