Maternity Care Nurse

As a Maternity Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in guiding women through their childbirth journey, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both mothers and their newborns.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver comprehensive nursing support to expectant mothers during the entire childbirth process, including:
- Antepartum care
- Intrapartum care
- Postpartum care
2. Monitor the health and safety of both mother and baby, assessing labor progression and implementing effective pain management strategies to enhance the birthing experience.
3. Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute personalized birth plans and interventions tailored to individual needs.
4. Assist in various childbirth methods, including:
- Vaginal deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- Other obstetric procedures, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.
5. Provide education and emotional support to mothers and their families during the postpartum phase, including:
- Breastfeeding guidance
- Newborn care training
- Emotional support for the transition into parenthood.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- BLS certification (and any additional certifications as required by the facility)
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in maternity nursing.
- Excellent communication and adaptability skills.
