The Arena Stage Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in community partnerships, event planning, and arts administration. As a Community Partnership Fellow, you will work closely with our artistic team to develop and implement community engagement programs, events, and initiatives that foster dynamic cultural, civic, and artistic partnerships with local and national organizations and community groups.

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage diverse community groups, ensuring events and activations are accessible and inclusive. You will also support the planning and execution of community activations, such as show-specific and offsite events, pre- and post-show discussions, audience enrichment, lobby displays, and the annual Community Day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Artistic Team to understand the themes, narratives, and goals of each production in the season.
  • Research and identify potential community partners that align with the organization's mission.
  • Lead and facilitate pre- and post-show discussions to deepen audience engagement with the themes of the plays.
  • Provide general administrative support for the Community Partnerships team, including tracking event progress, managing budgets, preparing reports, and assisting with communication efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interest in theater, arts administration, and community engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically about how to connect a theater's mission and themes to the community.
