The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is in search of an IT Project Manager III to oversee information technology initiatives throughout their entire project lifecycle. This role involves managing project timelines, resources, and budgetary considerations to ensure that all projects are properly defined, designed, and executed within established deadlines and financial constraints.
The selected candidate will act as the primary liaison and centralized management point for all project team members during the various phases of the project lifecycle. This includes engaging with the user community to identify and articulate all scheduling and resource-related risks and challenges, along with proposing effective remediation strategies.
Key responsibilities encompass all aspects of project management, including:
- Time management
- Scope definition
- Cost control
- Resource allocation
- Risk assessment
This role will utilize standardized methodologies and tools such as Gantt charts, work breakdown structures, and resource leveling techniques to facilitate project success from initiation through to completion. Additionally, the IT Project Manager III will lead stakeholder engagement efforts and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules with an emphasis on project integration.
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a four-year degree in management science, engineering management, computer science, or a related discipline, along with five to seven years of relevant experience in managing time, scope, cost, resources, and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
