Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
  • Provide technical support for performances, rehearsals, and events.
  • Assist ensemble teachers by leading sectionals and providing support to students.
  • Support the operation and maintenance of recording equipment and facilities.
  • Assist in promoting PCM events and programs through social media platforms.
  • Coordinate the creation and distribution of press releases to local media outlets.
  • Provide administrative support, including reception duties, phone calls, attendance, copies, and data entry.
Expectations for Volunteers:
  • Commit to being a peer leader, mentor, and model appropriate professional behavior and character traits.
  • Be punctual and attend at least 90% of the 30-week program.
  • Provide 24-hour notice for any absence.
  • Assist younger students with respect and encouragement in a safe environment.
  • Assist PCM office staff as directed.
  • Maintain high personal expectations and work ethic.
  • Accept constructive feedback from PCM Teaching Artists, Music Mentors, and Staff.
  • Use appropriate language and dress professionally.
  • Represent PCM positively in the community and on social media.
  • Follow all guidelines outlined in the volunteer handbook.
  • Communicate any problems or concerns to PCM Staff in a professional and timely manner.
