Position Summary:
The Construction Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager, will oversee all aspects of shift operations, ensuring optimal production performance, equipment upkeep, and adherence to regulatory standards. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive operational documentation, including reports and licenses.
  • Drive production team success by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and providing necessary coaching.
  • Recruit, orient, and train new staff while promoting personal development opportunities.
  • Ensure smooth workflow by monitoring process steps and implementing cost-effective measures.
  • Achieve production goals by effectively scheduling personnel and managing priorities.
  • Uphold quality standards by enforcing organizational protocols.
  • Facilitate equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Compile and analyze production performance data to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Revise operational systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 8 years in a supervisory role.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical experience, including welding and general maintenance.
  • 5+ years of experience operating construction equipment.
  • Experience in materials processing and asphalt/concrete operations.
  • Ability to utilize personal protective equipment as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in computer usage for communication and information management.
  • Experience in labor relations or union management.
