Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans and accurate forecasts for accounts, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve unique customer issues proactively.
  • Grow and maintain new and existing accounts, staying up-to-date on the latest trends in B&PT and MRO for the product line represented.
  • Identify new sales/service opportunities within the territory, utilizing product expertise to solve B&PT and MRO problems.
  • Establish and expand relationships with decision-makers within each customer organization, providing solutions that meet their vision and supply chain initiative objectives.
  • Document success in exceeding sales goals, objectives, new products, and cost savings, providing routine cost savings reports and collaborating with customers to agree on savings when possible.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years outside sales experience selling industrial supplies, such as B&PT, MRO, Safety, Hose & Rotating Equipment, with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Distribution considered in lieu of experience.
  • Customer-service oriented mentality, with excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
  • Computer literate, organized, and detail-oriented, with experience generating proposals and solutions, and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, resulting in significant add-on/repeat business.
