Position Overview
Under the supervision of the IT Supervisor II, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for delivering Tier I technical assistance via phone and managing operational IT services along with analytical technology-related tasks in support of the Office of Legislative Counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and analytical support for various hardware and software systems, including desktop computers, mobile devices, laptops, printers, and multifunctional copiers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and assist users with in-house and third-party software.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, document, and resolve technical requests remotely using IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing software.
- Identify and report trends and significant incidents to the team and management for further action.
- Conduct introductory training sessions on productivity and collaboration tools such as Outlook, MS Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Work Environment
The core working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flexibility is required as after-hours support or overtime may be necessary during peak operational periods.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will exhibit resourcefulness, strong organizational skills, adaptability, and excellent communication abilities to meet varying workload demands.
