Senior Liaison, Cardiovascular Surgery Transplant

Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care and advancing innovative practices in cardiovascular surgery.

Position Summary:
This role requires an experienced professional who possesses a deep understanding of healthcare operations and can effectively apply their knowledge in a practical setting. You will independently manage a comprehensive range of responsibilities while demonstrating advanced problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a mentor to new staff members.
- Coordinate complex scheduling for appointments, procedures, and surgeries, utilizing extensive knowledge of departmental protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, and other staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage intricate care coordination tasks, including surgical add-ons, admissions, multidisciplinary clearances, and patient transfers.
- Oversee the authorization process, ensuring patients are informed and payments are collected efficiently.
- Maintain and update patient appointment schedules for both new and returning patients.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in a health-related field from an accredited institution or a Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.

Compensation:
The starting pay for this position is generally set at $39.59 per hour, with final compensation determined by various factors including experience and education.
