Job Summary

The primary objective of this role is to support the Director of Environment of Care by taking charge of the formulation and oversight of the Safety, Fire Safety, Hazardous Materials and Waste, and Emergency Operations Plans for the facility.

This entails evaluating safety and health hazards and aiding in the orchestration of hospital-wide risk mitigation strategies.



Essential Qualifications

Education:
Completion of an accredited high school program or possession of a State high school equivalency certificate.

Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in safety inspections, safety investigations, or fire prevention practices.

Notes:
1. Additional academic qualifications from an accredited institution with a focus on fire protection/science or occupational health and safety technology may be considered as a substitute for up to two years of the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
2. Military service experience in Occupational Health and Safety roles may also be considered as a substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Licenses and Certifications
Individuals appointed to this role may be required to operate a motor vehicle.

Therefore, possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license in the State of Maryland is necessary.
