Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Trinity Health Livonia Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and mobility assistance.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Collect and send specimens, including blood and blood cultures, and remove peripheral IV catheters.
- Perform point-of-care testing, such as blood glucose monitoring.
- Document patient information and required data in appropriate areas to meet documentation and charging requirements.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe, and conducive to patient/family well-being.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred minimum of one year of previous direct care experience or successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
- Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.
