Position Overview

The Pediatric Otolaryngologist is responsible for the diagnosis and management of disorders related to the ear, nose, and throat, as well as head and neck conditions. This role encompasses surgical interventions of the head and neck, along with comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in the pediatric otolaryngology clinic.
  • Deliver thorough consultations and continuous care for infants, children, and adolescents experiencing E.N.T. disorders in various healthcare settings.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient assessment, evaluation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to maintain composure and positivity in challenging situations.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English, including safety protocols.
  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are preferred.

Qualifications

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and/or training in the field.

Licensure and Certification

  • Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in the relevant specialty.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Texas.
  • Current specialty-specific cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Education and Training

  • Completion of a four-year M.D./D.O. degree program along with a medical residency.
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited (or equivalent) post-graduate training in Otolaryngology, followed by a successful fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
