Role Overview

The Pediatric Otolaryngologist is responsible for the diagnosis and management of disorders affecting the ear, nose, and throat, as well as diseases of the head and neck. This role encompasses surgical interventions in both inpatient and outpatient environments, along with comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the pediatric otolaryngology clinic, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Provide thorough consultations and ongoing medical services for infants, children, and adolescents experiencing E.N.T. disorders.
  • Engage in collaborative care with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Essential Skills

  • Strong assessment and evaluation capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and positivity in challenging situations.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding English for effective communication of instructions and safety protocols.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.

Qualifications

Experience

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience or training in the field.

Licensure and Certification

  • Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in the relevant specialty.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Texas.
  • Current certification in specialty-specific cardiopulmonary resuscitation from recognized organizations.

Education

  • Completion of a four-year M.D. or D.O. degree program, followed by a medical residency.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited post-graduate training in Otolaryngology, along with an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
