Role Summary

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for assessing, planning, and executing tailored treatment strategies for young patients in accordance with established physical therapy principles. This role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient evaluations, direct care, and personalized care planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to physician directives for rehabilitation services.
  • Administer and interpret diagnostic tests and patient assessments.
  • Review patient medical histories and progress prior to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Establish functional objectives based on the expectations of patients and their families.
  • Enhance, restore, and maintain functional mobility, aiming to return patients to their highest level of independence.
  • Seek clarification on physician orders when required.

Educational Qualifications

Required: Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy

Professional Experience

Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist in a clinical environment

Licensure

Required: Valid State Licensure
