Position Overview
The Pediatric Otolaryngologist is responsible for the diagnosis and management of disorders related to the ear, nose, and throat, as well as diseases affecting the head and neck. This role includes performing surgical procedures on the head and neck, along with providing comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the pediatric otolaryngology clinic.
- Deliver thorough consultations and ongoing care for infants, children, and adolescents experiencing E.N.T. disorders.
Essential Skills
- Strong assessment and evaluation capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and positivity in challenging situations.
- Proficient in reading and understanding English to follow instructions and safety protocols.
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or training is required.
Licensure and Certification
- Must hold current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in the relevant specialty.
- Possess a valid medical license to practice in Texas.
- Current certification in specialty-specific cardiopulmonary resuscitation from recognized organizations.
Educational Qualifications
- Completion of a four-year M.D./D.O. degree program along with a medical residency.
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited post-graduate training in Otolaryngology, followed by an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
