Position Overview
The Pediatric Otolaryngologist is responsible for the diagnosis and management of disorders related to the ear, nose, and throat, as well as diseases affecting the head and neck. This role encompasses surgical interventions in both inpatient and outpatient environments, ensuring comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pediatric otolaryngology clinic with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
- Deliver thorough consultations and ongoing care for infants, children, and adolescents facing E.N.T. challenges.
Essential Skills
- Strong assessment and evaluation capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain composure and positivity in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in reading and understanding English to follow safety protocols and instructions.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are preferred.
Qualifications
Experience
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience or training in the field.
Licensure and Certification
- Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in the relevant specialty.
- Valid medical license to practice in Texas.
- Current certification in specialty-specific cardiopulmonary resuscitation from a recognized organization.
Education
- Completion of a four-year M.D. or D.O. degree program followed by a medical residency.
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited post-graduate training in Otolaryngology, along with an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
