The Product Marketing Manager is tasked with designing and executing robust strategies that improve both pre- and post-sales customer experiences. Performance metrics will be based on the overall business outcomes of these initiatives and the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions. This role involves the development, execution, assessment, and refinement of Stax Payments' product marketing strategies, with an emphasis on boosting customer conversion rates and establishing effective sales enablement programs.
The Product Marketing Manager at Stax Payments reports directly to the VP of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives
- Thoroughly comprehend our target demographics and buyer personas by engaging consistently with current and potential customers, advocating for their needs to shape our market entry strategy.
- Achieve mastery of Stax's products, understanding the unique applications across various segments, industries, and personas.
- Collaborate with the product team to inform strategy, market trends, and customer feedback regarding roadmap planning and product evaluation.
- Oversee product and feature launches in collaboration with cross-functional teams, establish objectives with the product team, create marketing initiatives to promote to prospects and customers, and empower internal teams.
- Develop persuasive solution messaging and positioning, utilizing user research, market insights, and in-depth product knowledge.
- Equip account management, growth management, and business development teams with effective marketing and training resources, ensuring they are prepared for new product and feature launches.
- Manage competitive intelligence and drive respective enablement through the creation of battle cards.
- Analyze the customer journey from lead generation to wins/losses, renewal/churn, and expansion/referral to identify and implement key improvement strategies.
- Lead the strategy and execution of in-app messaging campaigns using Pendo to enhance user engagement, feature adoption, and customer retention within our application.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing.
- 3+ years of experience in the payments sector, demonstrating a solid grasp of payment solutions and their marketing applications.
- Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in presentation and interpersonal relations.
- Proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Strong history of collaboration within cross-functional leadership teams.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, as this role will interact with customers and various internal teams including sales, product management, support, campaign marketing, and executive leadership.
- Resourceful and self-driven, suited for this growth opportunity.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience in Fintech and payments is a plus.
