About the Senior Account Manager role:

This role involves leading strategic PR and marketing communications programs for key clients, including a major Florida brand. As a Senior Public Relations Strategist, you will develop and execute communication plans, secure media coverage, and build strong relationships with reporters and content creators. You will also mentor junior staff and contribute to business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee communication plans that align with client objectives, ensuring efficient and cost-effective execution.
  • Craft newsworthy stories, secure local and national media coverage, and build strong relationships with reporters and content creators.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining regular communication to review progress, manage reputational risks, and identify new opportunities.
  • Manage, mentor, and delegate to team members while supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, both with existing clients and potential new ones. Assist in the creation of compelling business proposals.

Essential Criteria:

  • 5+ years professional PR experience, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure media coverage at local, national, and influencer levels. A strong network of media contacts and the ability to develop creative media strategies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, and mentoring junior staff in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities, manage budgets, and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Strong understanding of PR strategy, stakeholder engagement, and crisis communications, with the ability to pivot quickly as needed.
