Job Title: Client Services Account Manager

At the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), we are seeking a highly skilled Client Services Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Client Services department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our market participants, ensuring timely resolution of questions and issues related to ERCOT grid operations and market operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate collaborative problem-solving with market participants to resolve day-to-day ERCOT markets and grid operations issues.
  • Assist market participants in meeting registration and qualification requirements.
  • Provide guidance and advice on ERCOT market rules, processes, and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Establish and maintain positive business relationships between ERCOT and assigned market participants.
  • Support team members in achieving high standards of professionalism, client interaction, and personal development.
  • Contribute to projects and process improvements to resolve market participants' business issues and improve ERCOT's internal functions.
  • Develop and share expertise in ERCOT markets and grid operations.
  • Coordinate stakeholder processes to support ERCOT and market participants.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of job-related work experience in excess of degree requirements.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the electric utility industry and advanced understanding of competitive electric markets and operation of an interconnected transmission and distribution system.
Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of electric grid operations.
  • Experience and knowledge in wholesale and retail electricity markets.
  • Understanding of financial settlement of electricity markets.
  • Client Services and/or account management experience in the power industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook).
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Required).
  • A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required.
Work Location:

Taylor, TX. Employees will be required to be on-site in Taylor, TX at minimum 2 days per week, or more, as needed based on the business needs as determined by management.

On-site schedules are flexible or may be rotated based on business needs as determined by the Manager.

Remote work is required to be performed from your Texas residence.

Employees may opt to work on-site more than required or 100% of the time.
