As a Senior Financial Compliance Analyst at Oil and Gas, you will be instrumental in supporting the controllership function while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.

Your primary responsibilities will include scrutinizing financial data, generating comprehensive financial reports, and delivering insights that will influence strategic business decisions.

Your Role and Impact

Your proficiency in financial analysis and meticulous attention to detail will enhance the accuracy and reliability of our financial disclosures.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including regional finance units, tax, legal, and other stakeholders, to foster process enhancements and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly closing processes and reporting for the Corporate segment, including the preparation of account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Business Collaboration: Address financial data inquiries and accounting treatment requests from corporate functions and strategic business groups; support finance in improving forecast accuracy.
  • Assist the Controller Region/Division in strategic financial analysis and reporting.
  • Audit and Compliance: Respond to audit inquiries and support quarterly and annual financial statement preparations, including SOX compliance testing.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare schedules for quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes; coordinate with regional finance centers and external reporting teams to finalize corporate schedules.
  • Support the implementation of new procedures and systems in line with US GAAP updates and corporate policy changes.
  • Provide financial insights to facilitate informed business decision-making.

Qualifications

You Must Have:

  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or controllership roles.
