The Business Development Representative Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will serve as a liaison between our agency, hospitals, healthcare providers, and the non-medical community to foster communication and collaboration, promote our agency's goals, and elevate awareness of our comprehensive suite of services.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources to educate them on our services and benefits.
- Collaborate with our Clinical and Operational teams to understand customer needs and processes in assigned areas.
- Engage with referral sources in-person to educate them on our services and benefits, spending at least 70% of time on this activity.
- Receive referrals from various sources and facilitate their seamless transfer to our Patient Operations department for processing and admission.
- Maintain accurate documentation of communication and contact with referral sources in all required reporting platforms.
- Assist physicians, hospital discharge planners, and other referral sources in coordinating professional and ancillary home care services.
- Deliver orders to physician offices in exceptional circumstances when immediate action is required.
- Identify and participate in industry conferences and professional groups to represent our agency and enhance its market presence.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with our patient care staff and support them in providing quality patient care.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and goals.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect the privacy and confidentiality of patients, physicians, and co-workers.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year business development experience in healthcare or other relevant business development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work creatively, independently, and be self-motivated.
- Current and valid driver's license, transportation, and auto insurance.
- Must live in the Middle Tennessee area.
