Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough patient assessments, evaluate data, and establish nursing diagnoses to develop individualized care plans.
- Care Coordination and Delegation: Coordinate care with other disciplines, delegate tasks to non-RN staff members, and supervise care to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Education and Patient Teaching: Assess patient teaching needs, set goals, and develop teaching plans to promote patient education and empowerment.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and coordinate patient care plans, focusing on wellness, health maintenance, and restoration.
- Quality Improvement and Safety: Participate in nursing performance improvement and interdisciplinary research activities to enhance patient care and safety.
- Education and Licensure: Graduate of an accredited RN program, current licensure in NYS or eligibility for a limited permit to practice, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience and Certification: A minimum of 1 year of acute care experience and current BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification may be required depending on unit scope.
Ellis Medicine offers a competitive salary range of $36-$51/hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
