Position Overview:
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for managing a multi-line phone system and maintaining call logs. This role includes taking and distributing messages accurately, welcoming visitors, determining the purpose of their visit, issuing visitor passes, and keeping visitor records. The Medical Receptionist also responds to routine inquiries from both internal and external sources regarding the organization’s location, operational hours, and contact information.
Additional duties may encompass various administrative tasks such as scheduling meeting rooms, typing documents, organizing and distributing mail, and handling courier packages. The Medical Receptionist operates within defined parameters regarding work expectations, quality standards, and priorities, under close supervision and established guidelines.
Utilize Your Skills to Make a Difference
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a Medical Receptionist with direct patient interaction.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong team player with excellent communication abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various roles as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with HEDIS.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
- Prior experience in a geriatric care setting.
Working Hours:
This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Local travel may be necessary, and mileage will be reimbursed.
Additional Information:
This role involves direct patient interaction and is part of a screening program. Candidates selected for this position will undergo a screening process.
