Job Summary:

RTX is seeking a Senior Product Manufacturing Engineer to drive process control and improve quality and delivery performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing MRL elements, such as PFMEA, Control Plan & Gage R&R, to advance specific part or part family MRL. This role will include both PW internal shop and supply chain components.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute MRL elements to drive process control and improve quality and delivery performance

Provide focused & effective leadership in the advancement of MRL elements to drive manufacturing risk identification and mitigation

Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or quality environment or a Master's degree and 3 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or quality environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or closely related technical degree)

6 sigma Black Belt preferred; CORE/ 6 Sigma Practitioner/Professional certification

Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience preferred; understanding of other continuous improvement skills: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.

Demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities, proficiency leading and managing a portfolio of cross functional projects

Minitab and other statistical software; proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics
