Material Review Board Engineer

Management Business Solutions is seeking a highly skilled MRB Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for reviewing and disposing of non-conforming material for gas turbine engines.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and disposition of non-conforming material, including parts, deviation requests, and waivers from OEMs and the supply base.
- Collaborate with Design Authorities to assess part repair requirements or usage parameters.
- Conduct assessments related to engineering principles such as tolerance stacks, GD&T interpretation, interchangeability, and repair requirements.
- Mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Participate in quality control processes, including Corrective Action Boards (CAB), and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- BSME/BSAE degree.
- 7+ years of experience in gas turbine design (aero-engine preferred) with partial MRE certification.
- 15+ years of experience for full MRE certification, allowing the engineer to perform tasks across multiple engine components.
- In-depth experience with MRB (Material Review Board) processes and non-conformance management in government-regulated industries (Aerospace & Defense, Medical, Mass Transit).
- Experience interacting with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for managing and storing NC data.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, with strong knowledge of GD&T and modern manufacturing processes (metal, composites).
- Proven experience in quality assurance processes, including part qualification, non-conforming material disposition, and continuous improvement projects.
- A service-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical data to customers and regulatory representatives.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Experience with developing and mentoring junior engineers is highly valued.
Office and/or shop floor environments with periodic physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
Frequent use of a computer for technical work, reviewing documents, and managing data.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
Ability to travel and work on-site at customer locations as required.
U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
