Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a skilled Weld Engineer to provide process support for GTAW, EB, and Laser Welding in the Metallurgical & Chemical organization. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing process yields, develop new designs, and troubleshoot processes related to design, materials, or processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide welding process support to the Metallurgical & Chemical organization
Work with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing process yields
Develop and improve welding related manufacturing process yields
Coordinate engineering tests and experiments to troubleshoot and improve processes

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Weld Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
5 years of experience in welding processes
Demonstrated knowledge of welding processes and equipment
Experience in improving welding performance and implementing process controls

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in joining processes including GTAW, Laser, and EB Welding
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
Strong communication skills and computer skills
