Your Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for you. As a Civil Engineer in our Cedar Rapids office, you will collaborate with a rapidly expanding team of engineers and specialists focused on municipal, transportation, and water resource initiatives. In the early stages of projects, you will engage closely with project managers to develop tailored solutions. Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a variety of projects that differ significantly in complexity and scope. This is a hands-on role directly involved in the planning, design, and execution of projects from inception to completion.
  • Adapt to various assignments and roles within medium to large teams of professionals, designers, and planners as required.
  • Aim to meet and exceed both team and client expectations by fostering positive working relationships through proactive communication, commitment to service, and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Manage your workflow and productivity to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Uphold high standards of quality, creativity, and collaboration within your project team.
  • Effectively communicate with individuals of varying technical expertise through both verbal and written means.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) designation.
  • Ideally, five to fifteen years of experience as a civil or construction engineer, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • A solid understanding of civil engineering principles.
  • Effective time management skills, particularly concerning project design commitments and deliverables.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities that foster positive, ongoing relationships.
  • Dependable and reliable, with a commitment to regular attendance and the willingness to work additional hours when project demands arise.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences clearly.
