Front Office Manager Job Description

The Fontaine, A Kansas City Hotel, is seeking a skilled Front Office Manager to lead our front desk operations and ensure exceptional customer service. As a key member of our team, you will oversee daily front desk operations, manage a team of front desk agents, and work closely with other departments to create a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage front desk operations, including guest check-in, check-out, and room assignments
  • Supervise and train front desk agents to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve guest issues and improve overall guest satisfaction
  • Manage human resources functions, including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, coaching, performance reviews, and recognition programs
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in hotel front desk management or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
