Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing general patient access and registration duties in EPIC Practice Management, including answering telephones, making appointments, processing referrals, maintaining provider templates and appointment schedules, and verifying patient demographics and insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient registration and scheduling duties in EPIC Practice Management
  • Answer telephones and respond to patient inquiries
  • Process referrals and maintain provider templates and appointment schedules
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage
  • Perform patient account management duties, including obtaining prior authorization for services and processing items in the appropriate work queues
  • Communicate with external government payors and employers as necessary
  • Work directly with patients on billing-related matters and provide fee estimates for medical services
