Job Summary

The Portland Clinic is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams and treatments by setting up exam rooms and rooming patients according to The Portland Clinic's protocols.
  • Prioritize and communicate patient concerns, making decisions regarding communication and coordination with clinicians for follow-up.
  • Assist licensed independent practitioners with diagnostic and surgical procedures, exams, and other department-specific tasks.
Requirements
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of Medical Terminology.
  • Basic understanding of infection control.
  • Proficiency in documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
