Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager, Payroll to join our team at WaterBridge Resources LLC. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of pay, and maintaining compliance with government regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day operations of Workday payroll, time tracking, absence, and all related functions for multi-state bi-weekly US payroll for multiple companies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for payroll and all payroll-related projects.
  • Act as the escalation point to resolve payroll issues and as the employee contact for payroll-related questions.
  • Process standard and complex payroll transactions, including retro calculations, manual adjustments, error resolution, and analysis of root cause.
  • Maintain payroll records and data for the calculation of payroll for multiple pay groups.
  • Partner with HR and Benefits personnel to ensure employee data, compensation, and benefit deductions are correct and promptly funded.
  • Partner with Accounting and Corporate tax to reconcile Workday payroll records to appropriate company-made payments during month-end close.
  • Provide funding amounts to Treasury prior to bank draw.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the account posting rules for all on/off-cycle payments.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Input and manage garnishment information for employees in Workday once received by the appropriate state agency.
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processes, service levels with third-parties, systems, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Manage the entire HR process for employee worker's compensation, in conjunction with insurance broker.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience within Payroll.
  • Workday Payroll experience is highly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, laws, and processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on process improvement and knowledge transfer.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous with the ability to multi-task with attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
Working Conditions/Environment
  • Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Monday - Thursday (9 hours) & Friday (4 hours).
