The Business Associate collaborates with the patient care team to achieve desired outcomes in key areas: Service Excellence, teamwork, technical proficiency, positive impact, and effective problem-solving. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the department or Manager to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient operation of our facility. Responsibilities

1. Service Excellence - Establishes a positive first impression by showcasing exemplary customer service skills for all groups, including patients, families, physicians, staff, and support personnel. Adheres to the customer service excellence pledge. ;Engages with patients, families, physicians, and staff in a courteous, professional, and pleasant manner at all times, including during intercom communications. 2. Collaboration and Teamwork - Ensures timely, sensitive, and effective communication of information; follows up on responses as necessary. ;Demonstrates awareness of the diverse needs and communication styles of our culturally varied patients, families, and staff. 3. Technical Expertise - Maintains proficiency in all computer applications and telecommunication systems. Safeguards all medical records and materials related to patient care while observing strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. ;Receives, processes, files, and maintains all patient medical records and related documents, ensuring confidentiality at all times. 4. Positive Impact on Practice/Problem Solving - Exhibits behaviors that foster a positive work environment. Proposes reasonable solutions to address challenges. ;Ensures that the environment is always regulatory compliant and maintains a clean, comfortable atmosphere for patients, families, and coworkers. Qualifications

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in secretarial studies is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 6 months of work experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Competence in reading computer screens, forms, and other documents, as well as following written and oral instructions. Ability to write clearly and legibly. Demonstrated proficiency with computers and keyboarding skills. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to respond to unpredictable situations and needs with sound judgment and excellent customer relations skills. Maintain composure in stressful situations and demonstrate a caring, positive attitude towards patients and families.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Consistent use of proper body mechanics. The role involves sitting for extended periods, as well as standing and walking throughout the department or facility as required.
