Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst to support our operations in the St. Joseph and Kansas City facilities. This role will primarily be based in St. Joseph but will require regular travel between the two locations.

The Financial Analyst will deliver essential accounting and analytical support, contributing significantly to the Company's success.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual capable of assessing performance and proposing strategies to enhance financial outcomes for the facility.


Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive accounting and analytical support, playing a vital role in the Company's success.

Collaborate with the Controller to prepare and analyze operational results, identify trends, assess customer profitability, manage capital projects, calculate incentive plans, and engage in budgeting & forecasting, along with special projects and initiatives to aid management in meeting operational goals.

Assist the Controller in refining processes to boost accounting efficiencies and enhance process documentation.
Support the Controller in maintaining and improving internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
Conduct financial analyses, ensuring adherence to professional standards, company policies, and procedures.
Prepare journal entries and assist in the month-end closing process.
Guarantee the accurate and timely execution of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and reports.
Perform data entry and utilize systems for research and analysis.

Familiarize yourself with the financial policies and procedures outlined in the financial policies and capital investment manuals relevant to the plants.

Ensure compliance with applicable internal controls in all areas of responsibility.
Investigate, review, and assess various financial transactions, recommending appropriate treatments.
For the home site, review production hours entered/approved in the payroll system; ensure accuracy and balance of hours.

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or finance; experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Experience in corrugated, printing, packaging, or related finance roles within a manufacturing context is advantageous.
Demonstrated understanding of general business management principles, GAAP, internal financial management, and industry practices.
Proven ability to influence peers and management effectively.
Strong communication skills with business leaders across various levels and functions.
