Job Summary

FCS Financial is seeking a skilled Financial Services Analyst to join our team in a Loan Accounting Analyst role. As a key member of our Financial Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining branch loan accounts, communicating accounting instructions and procedures to branch employees, and performing various financial analysis tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining Branch Loan Accounts
    • Process financial transaction corrections, maturity date extensions, conversions to new interest rate products, etc.
    • Create and correct year-end tax documents and provide communication to members regarding these forms.
    • Identify loan activity that requires communication with AgriBank & SunStream regarding approval, issues, and branch needs.
    • Set up and maintain lease loans while communicating with CoBank and Oscar regarding issues.
  • Communicating Accounting Instructions and Procedures
    • Identify issues and needs and provide guidance on steps necessary to resolve the issue or need.
    • Monitor branch requests for appropriate approval levels for waivers and transfers.
    • Assist loan officers in identifying fees.
    • Maintain knowledge of association Tier structure for consistent and accurate pricing of loan portfolio.
  • Missouri Linked Deposit Program
    • Communicate with the State and Branch.
    • Maintain the Missouri Linked Deposit Internal SharePoint Site.
    • Complete a monthly Missouri Linked Deposit as well as audit requests.
    • Process Applications and Renewals.
  • Account Reconciliation
    • Reconcile differences posted to loan accounts through the Association's front-end system and the corresponding general ledger accounts in the loan accounting system.
    • Research and resolve outages.
  • Preparing Financial Reports
    • Create, manipulate, and run reports.
    • Review reports to identify and correct errors.
    • Publish wholesale fee report and answer branch staff questions pertaining to it.
  • Reviewing Loan Accounting Procedures
    • Ensure procedures and practices are in alignment.
    • Identify and recommend possible improvements to procedures.
    • Maintain and verify that records/documentation is accurate, stored properly, and aligns with retention schedule.
  • Daily Deposits
    • Post and process daily deposits for the Central Office branch.
    • Provide support to branch staff on deposits and systems used to process deposits.
  • Publishing Association Loan Rates
    • Publish daily loan rates to the Association intranet site for employee consumption.
    • Input certain rates on a weekly and/or monthly basis to the Loan Accounting system.
  • Serving on Special Project Teams
    • Participate on projects as a subject matter expert or resource.
