Job Description

MetaOption LLC is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer PE with expertise in HVAC and/or plumbing design and project management to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Design and Engineering: Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents to support MEP engineering needs for various commercial building types, including office spaces, educational facilities, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, and multifamily residences.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, establishing schedules, assigning resources, monitoring performance, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering-related documents and schedules, as well as general project documents.
  • Field Support: Provide review of mechanical design submittals and conduct site visits as needed to address any issues, conflicts, or questions that may arise.
  • Project Updates: Generate and present project status updates to internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Business Development: Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients through relationship-building and networking.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline, with at least 6 years of relevant experience in HVAC or plumbing design and project management. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer License: Current PE license is required.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is mandatory, with familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster being a significant advantage.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in HVAC and/or plumbing design and project management for commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders, from subcontractors to project owners.
