We are a leading engineering company in Austin, TX, seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with Project Management experience to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer PM, you will play a crucial role in designing and managing HVAC and plumbing systems for various commercial and industrial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents to support MEP engineering needs for commercial office buildings, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and multifamily residential projects.
- Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, establishing schedules, assigning resources, monitoring performance, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering-related documents and schedules, as well as general project documents. Provide review of mechanical design submittals and address any issues or conflicts that may arise.
- Business Development: Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients through building relationships and identifying new project opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline and at least 6 years' relevant experience in HVAC or plumbing design and project management.
- Current PE License Mechanical Engineer with a PE license (Professional Engineer).
- Previous work in AutoCAD and Revit is required, and familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster is a plus.
- HVAC / Plumbing design and Project Management experience for commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a range of people from subcontractors to project owners.
