Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiology equipment to produce high-quality images, performing radiographic and cardiopulmonary procedures, and collaborating with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiology equipment to produce diagnostic images, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Perform radiographic and cardiopulmonary procedures, including venography, myelography, and gastrointestinal exams.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Examine radiology film and/or digital exams for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  • Take x-rays of various body parts to diagnose disease or injury.
  • Follow safety principles, radiation protection, and patient comfort and care guidelines.
  • Record test results and monitor patient data.
  • Maintain accurate department records, including radiographic logs and shipping and receiving logs.
  • Calibrate and maintain x-ray equipment.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certified by the State of Texas.
  • Two years of clinical experience in radiologic technology.
