About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating radiology equipment to produce high-quality imaging films, performing radiographic and cardiopulmonary procedures, and collaborating with physicians to diagnose and treat patients.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Operate radiology equipment to produce diagnostic images, ensuring high-quality results and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal imaging, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Examine radiology films and digital exams for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  • Take x-rays of various body parts to diagnose disease or injury, following safety principles and radiation protection guidelines.
  • Record test results and monitor patient data, maintaining accurate department records and satisfying state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain radiographic logs, documenting exams, patient names, and retake reasons, as well as separate reports on diagnostic x-rays.
  • Calibrate and maintain x-ray equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • An Associate's degree from an accredited school of radiologic technologist.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certification by the State of Texas (MRT).
  • BLS certification.
  • Two years of clinical experience in radiologic technology.
