Job Title: Project Accountant

At Elevate Power Management LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing project financials, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting project managers with financial insights and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the financial performance of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and review project cost reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management, Engineering and Operations teams to track project expenses, ensuring all costs, including capitalized labor, are allocated correctly and within budget.
  • Identify opportunities to benefit from government grants and other incentives to drive increased project economics.
  • Generate regular financial reports for project managers and senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
  • Support in the due diligence of capital and major projects for acquisition targets.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop financial forecasts and budgets, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all project-related financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain project accounting records in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure financial alignment and support project goals.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on financial processes and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and subcontractors regarding project financial matters.
  • Drive professional growth and development by setting and achieving clear objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Promote and embody the company's core values, fostering a culture of alignment and commitment among team members.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project accounting preferably within the renewable energy space.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Project costing, procurement, and vendor management experience a benefit.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and project accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
