Business Development - Mergers & Acquisitions Role

The Business Development - Mergers & Acquisitions role will assist in identifying and evaluating potential growth opportunities through mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in the strategic aspects of business development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in identifying potential acquisition targets and strategic partners that align with the firm's growth strategy.
  • Conduct research and analysis of market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape to inform M&A opportunities.
  • Support the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing relevant financial, legal, and operational information.
  • Assist in preparing financial models, valuation analyses, and reports to evaluate potential deals.
  • Help draft and review documents related to M&A transactions, including term sheets, agreements, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure smooth execution of M&A activities.
  • Prepare summaries and reports on M&A activities and market opportunities for senior management.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in business development, M&A, finance, or a related field. Experience within the legal or professional services sector is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certification is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, proficiency in data analysis, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Understanding of M&A processes, market research methodologies, and basic financial principles.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
