Role Overview

We are seeking a New York-based Human Resources Coordinator to work in-office a minimum of two days per week. This dynamic position involves collaboration across all HR functions, working closely with our Director of Recruitment & Operations and our Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment Support: Assist the Director of Recruitment & Operations with talent sourcing, resume screening, interview scheduling, and conducting reference checks while keeping the HR team and hiring managers informed of progress.
  • Onboarding Coordination: Support the Human Resources team in the onboarding process, including scheduling new hire meetings and managing I-9 verifications.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiatives: Collaborate with the Director of DE&I to implement and enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies, including diverse recruitment efforts and compiling diversity reports.
  • Agency Resource: Serve as a point of contact for agency staff regarding hiring processes, benefits, and overall workplace experience, and assist with event setup and office management as needed.
  • Documentation Management: Update HRIS and Microsoft accounts with new employee information, maintain org charts, and manage staff records.
  • Internship Program Management: Participate in and eventually lead the hiring process for internship sessions, coordinate programming, and enhance engagement.
  • Administrative Support: Conduct regular reporting on various company initiatives and collaborate with the HR team for analysis.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous internship experience in Human Resources (DE&I, Recruiting, or Generalist roles).
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a knack for connecting with a diverse workforce.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and interest in utilizing HRIS, ATS, and survey data systems.
  • Commitment to DEI: Demonstrates values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, with cultural competency and the ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, showcasing resilience and flexibility.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $45,000, classified as a non-exempt role eligible for overtime pay.
