Reporting to the Human Resources Manager in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development, this role will administer and deliver human resources services for the School. Key responsibilities include payroll processing, recruiting, employee relations, training and development, benefits, and compensation. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for processing payments, data entry, and troubleshooting payroll issues for unionized employees.

This role requires the ability to interpret and develop procedures to meet University, federal, and state employment laws guidelines, University human resources policies, and the terms of collective bargaining agreements. The HR Administration Professional will conduct new hire orientations and manage the collection, dissemination, and implementation of information requests from the University Labor Relations Office and Unions.

Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, 2+ years of relevant human resources experience, and knowledge of basic human resources concepts, practices, legislation, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills, as well as proficiency with spreadsheet applications and strong knowledge of database applications.
