Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the System's Form I-9 process and ensuring that all staff are properly trained and certified.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personnel management, employee relations, and labor laws. They will be responsible for conducting document reviews, responding to questions from Human Resources Background Staff, and assisting with Form I-9 and E-Verify audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor compliance with Form I-9 process
- Conduct document reviews and respond to questions from Human Resources Background Staff
- Assist with Form I-9 and E-Verify audits
- Develop and deliver training programs for Human Resources staff
- Monitor USCIS/DHS websites for updates on Form I-9 and E-Verify process
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Management, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Psychology or related field
- Five years of experience in personnel management, employee relations, or public administration
- Comprehensive knowledge of theory and principles of personnel administration
- Expert knowledge of visa types and restrictions related to employment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel
