Position Overview:
The Senior Estimator for Healthcare Construction is tasked with overseeing all operations and expansion initiatives within the Healthcare Renovation sector.

Leadership Responsibilities:
By setting a strong example, the Senior Estimator will ensure that all projects adhere to compliance standards, are executed within budgetary constraints, and deliver outstanding client service to enhance revenue streams.

Performance Metrics:
Success will be evaluated based on the ability to (1) secure new projects and clientele, (2) inspire and guide teams, and (3) ensure timely and budget-compliant project completions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Unit Management:
    Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the existing client base and through new client acquisition. Maintain the customer relationship management system.
  • Provide accurate estimates and quotes for both current and prospective clients.
  • Regularly update project statuses and completion timelines in the database.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to track billing and collections on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of financial and operational performance, preparing reports for management review.
  • Lead the team with a motivating approach, fostering a strong unit from Project Manager downwards.
  • Participate in all essential company and client meetings, conducting weekly team calls and delivering operational reports.
  • Manage the marketing budget for the Healthcare Renovation sector and oversee gross profit approvals.

Project Management:
Initiate new projects using the company’s software by defining project scopes and accurately forecasting labor, material, and travel costs to ensure successful service delivery while maintaining profit margins.

Maintain open communication with staff, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure clarity on project scopes and necessary resources.

Generate and oversee all project-related change orders with oversight from the Director level.

Review project scopes alongside customer-specific completion processes to ensure all inspection records and documentation are accurately completed and uploaded.

Manage project schedules and budgets to ensure effective maintenance of both.

Ensure project quality meets or exceeds company standards and manage project close-outs for timely invoice processing.

Scheduling:
Generate and manage all project scheduling requests through the database, collaborating with interdepartmental teams to confirm resource allocation.

Notify the Operations team of upcoming projects that may impact scheduling functions.

Sales and Marketing:
Seek opportunities to build relationships with new and existing contacts, updating client communications in the database.

Attend industry-specific trade shows and events, providing quarterly project highlights for marketing purposes.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or technical trade school equivalent preferred. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in leading construction projects and teams is essential.

Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, respond effectively to inquiries, and apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office, is required.

Travel Requirements:
This remote position requires travel up to 50% of the time, with potential weekend and evening commitments.

Working Conditions:
The primary work environment is an indoor office setting, with frequent travel to field sites. Compliance with safety provisions and use of PPE is mandatory in hazardous conditions.

Total Compensation Package:
Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, with unlimited commission potential based on annual profits. Health, dental, and vision insurance, along with employer 401K contributions, are included.
