Position Overview
The Senior Estimator for Healthcare Construction is tasked with overseeing all activities and growth initiatives within the Healthcare Renovation division.

Leadership and Compliance
By exemplifying best practices, the Senior Estimator will ensure that all operations are compliant with established standards, executed within budgetary constraints, and deliver outstanding client service to enhance revenue generation.

Key Performance Indicators
Success will be evaluated based on the ability to (1) secure new projects and clients, (2) inspire and lead teams, and (3) ensure timely and budget-compliant project completions.

Responsibilities

  • Business Unit Management:
    Identify and initiate new business opportunities within the existing client base and pursue new development prospects.
  • Client Relations:
    Maintain the customer relationship management system to track interactions and updates.
  • Estimating:
    Provide accurate estimates and quotes for current and prospective clients.
  • Project Tracking:
    Regularly update project statuses and completion timelines in the database.
  • Financial Oversight:
    Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to monitor billings and collections on a weekly and monthly basis.

Team Leadership
Lead the team with a motivating approach, setting a strong example and fostering a collaborative environment. Build the Healthcare Renovation team from the Project Manager level downwards.

Meetings and Communication
Participate in all essential company and client meetings, conduct weekly team calls, and prepare operational reports.

Marketing Management
Oversee the marketing budget for the Healthcare Renovation division and manage gross profit approvals.

Project Management
Create and define new projects in the company’s software, ensuring accurate forecasting of labor, materials, and travel costs to maintain profit margins.

Vendor Coordination
Maintain open lines of communication with staff, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure clarity on project scopes and requirements.

Change Order Management
Generate and oversee all project-related change orders with oversight from the Director level.

Quality Assurance
Ensure that project quality meets or exceeds company standards and manage project close-outs for timely invoice processing.

Scheduling
Manage and generate project schedules, collaborating with interdepartmental teams to confirm resource allocation.

Sales and Marketing Initiatives
Seek opportunities to build relationships with new and existing clients, updating communication records accordingly.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or technical trade school equivalent preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in leading construction projects and teams.
  • Familiarity with tenant improvement projects is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex documents and respond to inquiries effectively.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly.

Travel Requirements
This role may require travel up to 50% of the time, including potential weekend and evening commitments.

Working Conditions
The primary work environment is an indoor office, with frequent travel to field sites. Compliance with safety provisions and the use of personal protective equipment is mandatory in hazardous conditions.

Compensation
Base salary range of $120,000 to $140,000, with unlimited commission potential based on annual profit. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, along with employer 401K contributions.
