Overview

Empower caregivers to navigate complex systems and access vital resources through Seneca's Wraparound program



As a Bilingual Family Partner, you will leverage your personal experience as a consumer of mental health or social services to build trust and rapport with caregivers. You will advocate for their needs, provide coaching, and facilitate access to community resources, services, and supports. Your expertise will serve as a bridge between families and agencies, promoting a collaborative and strengths-based approach.



ABOUT WRAPAROUND


Seneca's Wraparound programs offer family-centered, individualized, and culturally relevant support to families with complex and enduring needs. Our approach works in close partnership with Department of Family and Children Services, Juvenile Probation, Behavioral Health, and group homes. We provide strengths-based and outcome-oriented alternatives to group care placements for children and youth, drawing upon community and family strengths. Services are provided in the community, in families' homes, group homes, foster homes, schools, and other settings.

Responsibilities
  • Support family members in participating in the wraparound process as informed and empowered members of the team
  • Utilize knowledge of community resources, school systems, mental health services, and social services to help families identify a network of support
  • Advocate for caregivers and families, promoting understanding among team members and navigating private and public systems
  • Participate in the regional after-hours emergency response rotation
  • Deliver services that are mindful of clients' and families' cultural location and provide support that is culturally informed and relevant
  • Model and utilize a strengths-based approach in all interactions with family
  • Participate in weekly supervision with Supervisor and Wraparound team meetings
  • Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Personal experience raising a child who has received services (Child Welfare, Probation, Mental Health)
  • High School diploma/GED or higher
  • Bilingual Spanish skill set
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination

  • Ability to work as a team player and with a diverse population
  • Good writing and organizational skills

SKILLS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Understands and respects the cultural location of clients and their families
  • Maintains accurate documentation and paperwork
  • Works effectively with a team, contributing to a collaborative environment

Schedule
  • Full-time; Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evenings hours as needed
